Toronto has once again landed in the global spotlight, securing the 20th spot among 1,000 cities in a 2026 international index. This recognition reflects the city’s robust economy and the strength of our local talent—factors I see driving demand every day for buyers and investors alike. However, the report also highlighted a challenge I often help clients navigate: housing affordability. Toronto’s median multiple reached nearly 7.5 in 2026, which means our city remains one of the least affordable major markets worldwide. More of our income is going toward housing compared to almost anywhere else, and ongoing supply shortages—with housing starts expected to slow through 2026—continue to put pressure on affordability. Having worked with a range of clients, from first-time buyers to experienced investors, I know how important it is to understand both the opportunities and realities of our market. My commitment is to providing clear, thoughtful guidance tailored to your goals, especially as Toronto’s real estate landscape continues to evolve.
